Former Big Boss and Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress Hina Khan, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and underwent surgery for the same, took to Instagram to share a video of her workout post-surgery. In an intense workout with her trainer at the gym, Hina Khan practices kickboxing. The post had Hina inspiring others that are fighting similar battles.
While there’s no definitive cure for cancer, studies increasingly point to the positive impact of workouts in reducing the risk of cancer, linking it to a lowered occurrence of many types of cancer including breast, colon and prostate and many others.
Regular physical exercise regulates hormones such as estrogen, growth factors and insulin that are associated with an increased risk of breast and colon cancer. It also serves to reduce inflammation, positively alters metabolism and helps maintain a healthy weight, which can keep many forms of cancer away.
Hina’s inspiring message resonated deeply with her fans, many of whom have wished the actress well on her recovery journey.
