Garvita Sadhwani Opens Up About Becoming the New Face of YRKKH

It is no lie that ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is one of the widely watched television drama in the country. However, some time back, the show underwent a huge change. Producer Rajan Shahi announced that he had sacked two actors-Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe from the show. According to the reports, the two actors, who played the roles of Armaan and Rohit respectively, were terminated from the show as a consequence of unprofessional behaviour on the sets.

While Shehzada was replaced by Rohit Purohit, Garvita Sadhwani came in as a replacement for Pratiksha. In an exclusive interview with the latter, Sadhwani mentioned about cosying up to her new role as the leading actress of the show. She also committed to giving her best shot. She declined to comment on Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe’s exit from the show and that she would only be willing to speak about her part and work delivery in the show.

 Along similar lines, she said, “I didn’t take it like that. My first reaction and response was not ‘replacement’, my first reaction or response was Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (is a big show). I am a very important character in the show, my reaction was that Rajan sir (the producer) himself gave me this opportunity, I just spoke to him…my response, the reaction was to that…I look at the positive side of things and so that’s what I reacted to, ‘now you have to do it this is your chance’”.

What Went Downhill For Shehzada & Pratiksha:

From what reports suggest, Shehzada overlooked work ethics from day one and constantly mistreated the crew with his tantrums. On the other hand, Honmukhe was removed because of her incapability to live up to her character’s expectations. Apart from this, the two actors used to spend a lot of time together in each other’s makeup room most of the time. Due to this, the show used to get delayed a lot many times, and there were missed cues as well which impacted their performances individually.

Co-actors Reactions to New Replacements:

Not a shadow of a doubt that all co-actors as well as the crew were in dismay for quite some time. There were a lot of hush-hush situations going on. However, reports say that some actors and individuals from the production house expected this to happen someday. Rishabh, who plays the role of Krish in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai reacted to the situation as well. He said that there was friction between the production house and Shehzada since day one, and it finally led to whatever happened today and that was very obvious.

Yeh Rishta actress Shruti shared her reaction to the sudden decision saying that the production house has given its best to try and work things around but it seems like it did not work out and hence Rajan Shahi took this firm decision. One can watch ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Disney+ Hotstar
